[00:00:00] Okay. Hey folks, what's up? It's Max Yuhas here from cannabis marketing solutions dopeseo.com and today we're going to talk about digital marketing and maps, SEO and optimization tips and techniques for dispensary in Oklahoma. Now, obviously Oklahoma is crazy right now with the, you know, the 3,000 ish plus licenses that they've opened up in in Oklahoma. But what we've seen, because we're right below you in Texas. I know, I know, but it's a whole other conversation. But what we've seen here. So if you actually, if you look up places like these border towns, right, like Ardmore, Oklahoma, a lot of these places don't even have a functional website. Or if they do, you know, you're talking like they're using weed maps or leafly or something as their website, which is a terrible ide because it's showing every other person near you and what they offer versus having your own. You know, there's a reason Starbuds right here is number one for the organic result. [00:01:11] I don't understand why they're not number one here on maps, but hey, that's a conversation for Starbucks to have with us. But we put together a really cool case study to show how we helped a brand new dispensary go from the license phase to where they had a location to where we built their maps listing, we built their web website, we built everything so that on day one they had a line out the door, an email list of over 300 interested people, and they've been basically cranking like crazy every day since their grand opening. And you know, and it wasn't, it wasn't an easy thing because, you know, as we all know, like the licensing takes a little bit of time. There's always some sort of issue, especially with the state and it was completely out of their control. But you're talking a dispensary in New Mexico that opened up and New Mexico went legal on the first. [00:02:02] They missed that cutoff, they missed 420. [00:02:06] But they opened up at the end of the month and the end of the month was super successful for them. So even with missing the biggest quote, unquote, you know, the big two events last month, they still ended up winning because of the SEO work that we did. So if you run a dispensary or a cannabis business, or you're a grower or you're a producer, or you're a cultivator in Oklahoma and you're looking for a experienced license, an experienced team that actually knows what they're doing and can keep you compliant and keep you profitable from your marketing. Watch the video, take a look, give us a call, and we can set up a time to talk. Okay, great. Thank you. [00:02:50] Talk soon. Bye. [00:02:53] All right. Hey, what's up, everybody? It's Max Duvas here from Cannabis Marketing Solutions, and I want to put together a fun little case study for you for a new client dispensary that we just opened up in Bell in New Mexico. Well, we didn't open it. We. We did all their SEO and their website work and stuff. Now, for those of you that don't know the state of New Mexico, you know, kind of rushed a lot of stuff. And there were a number of issues that happened with dispensaries opening up, you know. You know, there were there, from my understanding, I heard through the grapevine that like 150 licenses or fingerprint background checks or something went missing, which greatly delayed what was happening. So these guys actually hired us. I'm going to bounce through a couple different screens here just to show you things. [00:03:46] So we built their Maps listing, I want to say, on March 14, right? So March 14, because we wanted them to be ready because they were supposed to be open on April 1, right? [00:03:58] Now, as you can see here, today is May 5, 2022. We built their, we built their Maps listing, I want to say, on the 12th, 14th, something like that. March, March 12th, 14th. [00:04:14] And in that time, because we had done such a good job with their actual, like, the site was ready for the most part, the maps listing was ready. And let's just put it, let's put it this way. So right here, there were 69 direction requests, 60 phone calls, and 95 visits to the website on April 1st, which was the day that New Mexico went legal. Okay. [00:04:42] On 4, 20. [00:04:44] So they didn't get their license until the 15th. [00:04:48] So they had. They had to turn down, from my understanding, they told me they turned down over 100 cars on the first day. [00:04:54] Okay. On 420, they still were not open. [00:04:57] Their grand opening was the 30th, you know, for this. But this is, this is a good idea of what a Maps, like a properly optimized Maps listing can look like for a dispensary business. Because you're talking over a hundred, over a hundred direction requests for this, for this business, okay? Over 13,000 views on Google both on Maps and on Search. Okay. Actually, There were almost 9,000 searches on maps for the month of April to May. Okay? [00:05:33] 4,000. 4,500 searches on just from Google. Okay. [00:05:40] Grand total of 8, 500 searches together. Discovery searches were 72%. [00:05:46] Zero branded searches, you know, I'm sorry, 18.02 or 0.2%. And then this, the direct searches were 27. So 72% of their actual traffic came from people searching things like dispensary near me, stuff like that. [00:06:03] And then we're going to go back to this. Sorry, I have a bajillion tabs open. But okay, yeah, so basically, so from April 8th to this, we're tracking roughly, you know, a little over a thousand searches to the. [00:06:22] Yeah, because I don't think, I don't think the actual analytics kicked in. [00:06:26] So the organic search, organic search or organic Social was like 691. Organic search was 315. Direct was 125 and referral was only 1. [00:06:38] So over a thousand searches came in with only 125 of them being like smokel dispensary.com. okay. The rest of them were all searches coming in. And from a case study standpoint, you know, you really can't, I'm not going to say you can't get better than this, but for something like this to where this is a brand new business and literally they've only been open, I want to say for a week now. [00:07:03] Day one, they did over, they did over 10,000 in sales on the 30th from the, from their official grand opening. [00:07:18] So if you run a dispensary. Okay. And this is, and this is, and what's great about these guys is like they're actually, they're a fun, they're a fun group. I mean, this is from April 8th, right? This was Chris with his this is hat will work for a state cannabis license, holding a sign out in front of the business because they still, you know, tears and stuff when they finally opened. Okay. When they finally opened, it was wonderful. I actually, I went there to help them because I needed photos for the website of the inventory of everything else. You know, the mayor showed up to take photos with them. [00:07:55] You know, this was the line on day one outside the store. [00:08:01] Chris is out there making videos. [00:08:03] The glass guys blowing glass out there. [00:08:09] You know, this is, this is what's, what's great is that's, that's the shirt I gave those guys. I gave those guys a couple shirts and a couple stickers. But you know, like they basically went from not having any presence online or they had a lot of presence online but they weren't able to open up yet. [00:08:26] Okay. To running, you know, basically, basically Being properly set up so that when they had their license, they were making money. On day one, we had it. We had an email list of over. [00:08:39] It was well over 200 people. I want to say it was close to 300 people because we had to change. Change the. You know, it wasn't like, hey, come visit us from our website, you know, or like, hey, shop now on our website. It was actually like, hey, sign up for the emails for when we get. [00:08:56] For when we're open, you know. So we had. We had an email list of a little under 300 people. [00:09:01] Emails went out, things went out. [00:09:04] So. So the grand open. But basically they were set up the right way. The website was built. We built the website, we did the maps listing, we did their emails, we did their CRM stuff. We found them a really good payment processor and fingers crossed if the machines should be delivered today for them to take the. [00:09:26] What's it called? [00:09:27] For them. For them to take online credit card payments as well. So if this is something that, that you want, you know, if you're. If you're. [00:09:35] Because this is. This is what you gotta realize, right? And I'm gonna go back to these, these maps listings here for a local dispensary. Because you can only. You know, let's just put it this way. The reason you open up a local business is to get, you know, local business, right? [00:09:53] I mean, but here's the thing. So you're talking about if we zoom out here, I mean, we're getting directions from abq, Galbadon, Rio communities, North Los Lunas, Bellen, which is where they're located, you know. So you're talking over well over a hundred directions requests in the last month. [00:10:18] We're talking well over 100. I mean, close to 200 phone calls in a month. [00:10:25] You know, 666 website visits, you know, 257 requested directions in a month. 270 phone calls in a month. [00:10:37] That's huge for a small business. [00:10:40] So if your business isn't generating this type of traffic, please give us a call. We can help you out. Okay. And this is just one dispensary. [00:10:48] All right. Anyway, this is Max from, from Canvas Marketing Solutions. [00:10:53] Thanks for watching. We'll talk soon. Bye, Sam.
